Flyte - Recording Studio - Terms & Conditions

Please read before booking.

This can be a tad boring, but it really is in your own interests to understand both our and your responsibilities prior to booking.
We haven’t hidden anything in the small print, but it’s always good to know what you’re agreeing to before signing on the dotted line!

Booking

Following an online or telephone enquiry we will make a provisional booking for you for up to two weeks. Within those two weeks you must send us a 20% deposit for the amount of time you have specified to book, unless told otherwise. You can do this by sending a cheque or from our Pay Flyte section on our website. On receipt of the deposit your provisional booking will become a firm booking, which we will confirm with you via email or by phone.
If after two weeks of making a provisional booking we have still not received your booking form/deposit, we reserve the right to make your date(s) available to other customers. Deposit For bookings of one or more days, we require a 20% deposit. This deposit is non-refundable in the event that you decide to cancel your booking.

Informing us of Changes

Please give us at least two weeks notice if you need to change your booking. If you give us less than two weeks notice we may, at our discretion, levy a charge of 20% of your total session cost against potential loss of business.

Session Over–run

If your session over-runs, any additional time will be charged at our standard hourly rate.

Payment

Unless otherwise agreed, the final balance must be paid in full by cash or cheque at the end of your session. For bookings over 3 days we may ask you to agree to a staggered payment schedule. We will not release any audio recordings or master copies to you until the final balance has been received. All recordings will be owned by FLYTE until all the funds have been received.

Master Copies

The term master copy refers to the set of unprocessed, multi-track files (in .wav format) that relate to a single song. Unless specifically requested, the quote for your session will not include the master copies of your work. If you require the master copies, these can be available at £5 per .wav file.

Project Backups

We will archive all project files when your session is complete. All project files will be removed from our desk at the end of your session, but can be reloaded from archive if the need arises. We cannot guarantee the future integrity of any archived project files.
